Why GDevCon?
At the end of 2017, we set out to create a series of events that is all about world-class graphical programming, organised by the community for the community.
GDevCon exists to help LabVIEW developers in teams learn and level up together by:
-
Building connections between you and developers of all levels.
-
Providing ongoing, practical learning for existing and emerging processes and technologies.
-
Advancing your team-based development so LabVIEW can grow as an engineering tool
GDevCon is run as an independent, community-driven event - operating as a not-for-profit to make the event accessible to as many developers as possible.
So, what is in it for you?
1.
INDEPENDENTLY ORGANISED CONFERENCE
GDevCon does not sell anything.
Our conference is 100% independently organised. We are free to democratically choose whatever topic we mutually see fit for benefiting the community. No matter the implications. With this approach we avoid the marketing pressures of a vendor-driven event, we’re not financially motivated nor looking to sell products or services to you.
✔ 100% independent
✔ democratic decision processes
✔ decisions by those who care about us and our community
✔ no sponsor influence on content or focus
2.
THE USER GROUP OF USER GROUPS
GDevCon is all about encouraging collaborative learning.
Our conference puts the software developer at the forefront, with a view to enabling every single person to build on our shared experience and knowledge. We like to call it the “User Group of User Groups”, driven entirely by the community.

3.
FOCUSED ON REAL PROBLEMS OF REAL PROJECTS
GDevCon values pragmatism and practicality.
Driven by developers who use LabVIEW and its tools in their own project work, GDevCon promises to focus on the real problems we all encounter. Our content will be focused towards practical advice and knowledge sharing to enable engineers to take away ideas and solutions they can apply immediately to their own challenges.
✔ improve the successful delivery of real-life projects
✔ topics that are relevant in everyday life of sw developers
4.
FROM THE PEOPLE, FOR THE PEOPLE
GDevCon is run by community leaders.
Our conference is purely community-driven. Presentations from world-class developers and editorial self-control ensure the highest quality. Attendance is open to everybody and anybody interested in graphical programming, regardless of qualification, certification or competence.

GDevCon caters to teams.
For most medium to large scale applications, teamwork is at the heart of delivering great software. Our conference is not only focused on tools and processes that will help with team-based development, it is also open to everybody and anybody. You can bring your whole team, and let them learn collectively about development methods and practices that can help dramatically improve their joint value, delivery- and quality-wise.
