When is it?

Huddles take place on all three days of the conference - Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. There are two time slots per day, the first one starting at 2:30pm and the second one at 4:00pm. For each time slot, there will be a number of huddles taking place in parallel, so participants will have to choose which ones they want to attend.

How do I sign up to participate in a Huddle session?

Participants will be asked each day to select at the first break which huddle they want to join for the first time slot, and at lunch time for the second time slot of that day. Each Huddle session has an associated Discord thread, where speakers can drum up support and answer questions.

Will these be recorded?

Currently, we don’t have plans to record these.

Will there be a projection on screen?

No, there will be no big screen as these are not presentations. However, there will be a way for the speakers to share their screen and attendees to view their screen via Discord on either your laptop or your mobile. We plan not to use the audio sharing as this is an in person experience.

Will I be able to join in remotely?

For video feed yes, there will be no audio feed used.

What else is going on during the Huddle Sessions?

Tech Cave and the Expert Bar will be active with Open Spaces available.

For Speakers

Is there a deadline to submit a topic for Huddle Spaces?

26th of August is the deadline to submit a topic for Huddle Spaces.

Is there a deadline to submit a topic for Open Spaces?

No. Book them as you need them during the event.

I have submitted a topic, when can I get more information about how this is going to work for speakers?

On 29th August 1500 GMT, there will be a session to discuss the “How-To” for speakers. People that have submitted a topic will be invited, if you would like to be included, email us and let us know.

How many total Spaces will be available?

There will be a minimum of 3 Huddle Spaces and 2 Open Spaces. We would like to give all submissions a space rather than curate them so we may increase these once we plan it out.

How big could the huddles get?

We will allocate the spaces based on interest. The most popular topic will be allocated the biggest space.
